Every successful project
Starts with a solid partnership
Over the years, I’ve learnt a great deal about my clients by attentively listening to their needs. I understand what they’re looking for and how to offer them a realistic solution that aligns with both their budget and their requirements.
Equally as important, I have the experience and the qualifications to deliver the high standards expected of a professional translator
I spent the first five years of my career in Lille, teaching English at the University, the Institut Pasteur and in local businesses, before entering the field of technical translations.
Initially, most of my work involved translating documents for sales engineers at production facilities. As my reputation in the field grew, I began to take on more technical translations in a variety of areas such as energy production, metallurgy, the railways and quality assurance.
In 1997, I took on the manager’s role at ASAP TRAD’, a translation company based in Feignies, France. During my ten years in this role, I had the opportunity to learn all the ins and outs not just of translation, but also of successful business and project management.
With a solid base of knowledge and hands-on experience in the industry, in 2007 I took the leap and set up my own translation company: JET Traductions.
Since then, I’ve built on my technical background to specialise in translations for museums, artists, tourist and cultural organisations and professionals in the applied arts. I enjoy working on texts they’ve crafted with care, helping bring them to a wider audience.
